Website and enquiry terms
These terms apply to anyone who uses the website at bookhearingtestgateshead.co.uk or sends an enquiry through it. The site is run by Book Hearing Test Gateshead, and by using it, you're accepting what follows.
What this site does, and doesn't do
Hearing tests We don't carry out hearing tests ourselves, and we aren't the firm that will. Nothing published here amounts to an inspection, an appointment, or a piece of clinical work.
Using and copying what's on this site
You can read this site and print a page for your own use without needing our permission first. The words, images, layout and underlying code belong to Book Hearing Test Gateshead or to those who've licensed material to us. Copying our pages for publication elsewhere, framing them inside another website, scraping them automatically, or using them for anything beyond personal reading isn't allowed.
What these pages are for
Hearing tests Everything on these pages is written for a general audience and isn't a survey, a report, or advice about your particular property or hearing. None of it should take the place of an actual assessment by someone qualified to carry one out.
Sending an enquiry
Sending an enquiry through this site costs nothing and doesn't create any contract between you and us. Your enquiry, with the details you gave, is passed to one specialist firm covering the area you told us about, so that they can contact you about it. They use it only to answer your enquiry and to arrange any visit or work you agree with them, and from that point they are responsible for how they handle it. We do not pass your details to anyone else for their own use. The specialist may pay us when we pass the enquiry on. You pay us nothing, and you are free to get quotes from anyone else. Any inspection, quotation or work that follows is a matter between you and the specialist, under whatever terms they offer, and you're free to seek quotes from other firms as well.
What the specialist is responsible for
The specialist who contacts you answers for their own inspection, advice, quotation, any work they carry out, and any guarantee they offer. If something goes wrong with their service, raise it with them first, though we're glad to hear about it too.
Accuracy and availability
We try to keep this site accurate and available, but we can't promise either. Parts of it may be changed, updated, or removed without notice.
The limits of our liability
So far as the law allows, our liability to you is limited to publishing this site and passing on your enquiry. That limit doesn't apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law doesn't let us limit. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Links to other sites
Where a page here links to another website, that website isn't ours, and a link isn't us vouching for it.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page applies, and a later change won't affect an enquiry you've already sent.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the place where we're established. Any dispute falls to the courts there, though if you're a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
Making a complaint
If you have a question about these terms, or anything else about this site, the contact page is the way to reach us. If you complain to us about how we have handled your personal information, we acknowledge it within 30 days and reply as soon as we can.
